Having spent the early part of his career working in adult critical care & emergency medicine, Joe has spent the last 10 years working full-time as an educator in an effort to prepare & inspire all future Respiratory Therapists and is the current Director of Education of Advanced Ventilator Life Support.

As a board-certified emergency medicine physician and fellowship trained in emergency ultrasound, Troy uses ultrasound at the bedside to make time-sensitive clinical decisions to change management and improve patient outcomes. Having trained under some of the pioneers in emergency ultrasound, it is exciting to see POCUS grow in its use, both in applications and clinicians. The use of POCUS starts with clinician education, thereby empowering them to take the technology and skill to the bedside and positively impact patient care.
