This live in-person workshop presents both Basic Ventilator Life Support (BVLS) and Advanced Ventilator Life Support (AVLS) in an interactive way designed to challenge the learner to think critically and expand their understanding of mechanical ventilation with the goal of enhancing provider confidence and improving patient outcomes.

Taught by our interdisciplinary team of critical care providers, this workshop is appropriate for all levels of clinicians, from Paramedics to Physicians, and everything in between.

Time: 0800-1700

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

  • This course has been approved for 16 hours of continuing education for Paramedics and Nurses.

    • Paramedic hours are awarded through a partnership with FlightCrit LLC and First Response Team Training LLC, a Colorado State Approved EMS Training Group.

    • Nursing hours are awarded through a partnership with FlightCrit LLC, a California Board of Nursing Continuing Education Provider

CRITERIA FOR AWARDING CONTACT HOURS

  • Students must attend the entire education session.

  • Complete the post-course exam and submit an online course evaluation.

  • Nope. All the course content will be taught during the live workshop. so there’s no precourse work to complete.

  • Yes. Upon successful completion of the post-workshop exam, students will be granted 16 hours of continuing education.

    NOTE: Students must attend both days and stay for the full class, to receive continuing education.

  • Students who are not able to attend the full workshop can still earn the BVLS and AVLS Certification, and earn 12 hours of continuing education, by completing the course online.
